The University of Nebraska–Lincoln
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) is known as the main institution of the University of Nebraska system. UNL was founded in 1869 as a land-grant university under the provisions of the Morrill Act. The main campus is located in Lincoln a few blocks north of the Nebraska State Capitol.

Alegent Health School of Radiologic Technology in Omaha
The Alegent Health School of Radiologic Technology is licensed and authorized by the State of Nebraska Department of Education to grant an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology degree and approved for veterans’ and other eligible persons’ benefits. The School is fully accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT.)
The Alegent Health School of Radiologic Technology offers a 23-month program of academic study and clinical education in the radiology department. The program begins each year in late August.
Courses consist of lectures, demonstrations and supervised clinical experience. When not in class, students perform various radiologic procedures with staff technologists. Students participate in all activities according to a scheduled rotation through appropriate areas within the radiology department.
After a completion of the program, students are awarded an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology degree and are eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) examination. Upon successful completion of the ARRT exam, graduates become registered technologists and are entitled to use the initials R.T. (R) after their names.
